What personal information does NHSA collect?
When members join any club listed on the NHSA web site, some personal information is gathered for processing purposes and to better serve you. Personal information in particular is your name, address, email address and date of birth. The more accurate the information provided, the better our services will be. We do not collect drivers license number information or social security number information for any reason.
How does NHSA use my information?
NHSA guarantees the use of all your information in a responsible manner. We use the information internally to be able to better serve you. Our clubs may send you official publications with the latest in snowmobile news and trail conditions for their area. NHSA may send you the Sno-Traveler Magazine that includes membership information and the latest information on snowmobiling in NH.
Does NHSA sell or share my information?
NHSA does not sell or share your personal information to other entities. Your information will solely be used for official mailings from NHSA and or its Clubs for snowmobile related information such as Club/ NHSA newsletters or magazines.
How secure are my transactions at NHSA?
NHSA uses industry standard secure server software. Should the member provide us with sensitive information for any reason (such as a credit card number), that information will be encrypted with industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology. Please note that email is not encrypted and is not considered a secure means of transmitting credit card numbers. No one from NHSA will ever call you or e-mail you to confirm credit card information or other personal information. Any such contact should be reported immediately to the NHSA Office Manager at 603-273-0220.
What else you need to know about your privacy?
Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online - for example on message boards, through email, or in chat areas - that information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you're online.
Can you opt out of certain mailings?
A member can 'Opt-Out' of receiving any official mailings of the NHSA Sno-Traveler Magazine and Club Newsletter. A member may opt out of receiving the Sno-Traveler or Club Newsletter by mail by selecting NO next to the verbiage - Would you like to receive your Sno-Traveler /Newsletter via mail? The default is that the member has selected YES to receive the Sno-Traveler/ Newsletter via mail. Please select NO if you do not wish to receive the Sno-Traveler via Mail.
